MR16 LED Bulbs

LED MR16 bulbs - these are bulbs used in spotlighting and suspended ceilings. MR16 bulbs are based on the GU5.3 base. They are often colloquially referred to as "halogen" bulbs that direct the luminous flux down. They are mounted in the socket for the so-called "push".

That does the MR and GU5.3 mean? 

The GU5.3 designation determines the spacing of the stem legs (in this case 5.3mm), while the letters MR from the "multifaceted reflector" - indicate the multifaceted reflector and are supplemented by the number 16, which informs about the size of the reflector. The diameter of MR16 LED bulbs is 50mm. When purchasing MR16 LED bulbs on the GU5.3 base, special attention should be paid to the rated voltage, as they are available in 12V and 230V versions. These models are also available in a dimmable version, which can be controlled by means of a suitable LED dimmer. Thanks to the use of LED MR16 bulbs we are able to reduce the power consumption to 85-90% compared to traditional halogen bulbs.
