What does CCT mean in lighting?
Colour temperature defines the colour appearance of a white LED. So today we are going to explain what does CCT mean and what are the possibilities of CCT lighting. For many of you, RGB letters are familiar but not many people actually know what CCT stands for so let me explain. The CCT stands for Correlated Colour Temperature and it basically means that the CCT lighting eg. bulbs have integrated two different LED chips (cold white & warm white) what enables you to differentiate the various hues of white. CCT meaning is measured in degrees Kelvin (K), and this temperature rating indicates what tone of white light will be emitted from the light fixture. With the CCT lighting, you can change the shade of white from warm (2700K) to cold (6500K) but you can also set the light to eg neutral white (4500K) and any other colour temperature in a range of 2700-6500K*.
