How to install Tuya smart radiator valve? Step by step

If you have a radiator with a standard M30x15 valve thread you are ready to install the Smart Tuya Radiator Valve. If not, don't be worried! The Smart Tuya Radiator Valve pack comes with a range of adapters to fit other thread sizes.

The installation of Tuya smart radiator valve is pretty straight forward

Just unscrew anty clockwise your old radiator valve (as seen on the video below) pull-down the plastic nut so it becomes loose (as seen on the video below) and screw the smart radiator valve in place of the old valve.

Pull down the back cover and install 2 x 1.5V AA LR6 batteries (not included in the set) and put back cover in place.

Every time you put in the batteries the smart radiator valve display will firstly show four digits which correspond to year As seen on the video below).

Use the knob to adjust the year then press the middle button to confirm the changes.

Next digits correspond to date (month, day of the month) set that up and press the middle button.

The next digits correspond to time and again use the knob to adjust the time and use the middle button to confirm the changes.

After confirming the time and pressing the middle button you will see AdA on the display.

Press middle button once again and you will see AdAU with a flickering "U" and hear a noise.

The sound indicates the smart valve engine is adjusting to your radiator.

This process will take a few seconds (up to 15 seconds) once that is done the installation is complete.

In case of problems the screen with error number will be displayed

F1 - If the valve moves slowly, check that the valve stem is not stuck;

F2 - If the range is too large, check that the thermostat nut is fully tightened.

F3 - If the adjustment range is too small, check that the valve stem resistance is not too high.

F4 - Valve not installed.

Now go to your Tuya smart app to add the new device

The device should be discovered automatically and the popup window will be displayed.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setting it up within your Tuya smart app.

Tuya Smart Bluetooth radiator valve allows programming of the set temperature within several types of schedule: daily, weekly, weekend. The head can operate in three modes:

Manual - requires manual temperature setting

Functions set from the menu level

A long press of the MODE button enters the programming mode by displaying "PRO". Rapid growth function - immediate heating of the room. After enabling this function, the heating valve will be 80% open for 15 minutes.

· Set a comfortable and energy-saving temperature using the "convenient / energy-saving" button. In the factory default mode, the comfortable temperature is 21, the energy-saving temperature is 17 ° C.

· Turn the knob to select the desired temperature and briefly press the 'Confirm.

· The screen can display the "energy-saving" icon and the current energy-saving temperature value.

· Turn the dial to select the desired temperature and execute and briefly press "Confirm.

 Summer mode

Setting the anti-freezing mode
