Technical specification

How it works

The IR emitter/receiver monitors for a nearby surface (door panel) within ~5 cm. When the door moves away (opening), the sensor switches the connected LED load ON. When the door returns within range (closing), the sensor switches the load OFF. No physical switch is required.

Wiring & installation (summary)

1. Isolate the 230 V mains feeding your LED driver.
2. Wire the sensor inline between the constant-voltage LED driver (12/24 V DC) and your light, observing + / − polarity.
3. Mount the sensor near the door edge so the active face “sees” the door within ~5 cm when closed.
4. Restore power and test the open/close behaviour; adjust position if necessary.

Note: For single-colour, constant-voltage LED loads. Not a voltage converter; ensure total wattage/current stays within limits.
