Aluminium profiles
Aluminium profiles
Probably some of you may think about what are those metal pieces in our store. Is there any use for them? In this article, we will give a bit more information about aluminium profiles. How to use them, what type of LED strips to choose, how to mount them and what diffuser to choose to find the right one for your project. Aluminium profiles are also known as aluminium extrusions, aluminium channels or alu profiles. Aluminium profiles not only work as a protection for the LED strip from mechanical damage but also as an excellent heat sink. They also provide a unique finish to any of the LED strip lighting projects. Available in 8 colours (anodised silver or painted finish such as gold, white, black, inox, palisander, wenge, pine). Commonly used in many places such as kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, living room, corridors, offices, etc. We store a wide range of aluminium profiles in a few different mounting types as per below.

Aluminium profiles just a few more things to consider
It is important to choose an LED strip with the right width (common width 8mm, 10mm, 12mm) to the profile to make sure it fits perfectly and give the effect you want. All of our profiles come with a set of end caps and a clear diffuser. We also stock additional diffusers (clear and milky). Selecting the appropriate cover for your project is essential. With a milky diffuser, you can obtain the effect of dispersion, the transparent diffuser will give the effect of concentration light emitted by the LEDs in the LED strip. However, it is good to note that milky cover blocks approximately 10% of light. Mounting of our profiles can be done in three ways. By using double-sided adhesive tape. Screwing it directly to the mounting surface (we highly recommend this method) or mounted with the use of special mounting brackets (available separately in our shop). Additional accessories are available in our online store such as mounting brackets, end caps (sold as separate items). We distribute only high-quality profiles from companies well known in Europe such as TOPMET, ALU-LED, Design light. All of our LED profiles are designed and manufactured in Europe. Design protected by EU patent.
