Choose the right LED power supply
What is an LED power supply? How does it work?
By transforming 240-volt (mains) power to a lower voltage such as 24v or 12v, an LED power supply drives your LED installation. Connect your LED power supply between the mains supply and the
LED product it will power.
LED drivers come in many shapes and sizes. Each can be used to power a different number of LEDs, depending on its specification (output wattage).
Each LED strip driver that we supply is built to work with our range of LED strip lights, and with other LED products as well as long as it matches the correct voltage and power.
A properly selected LED power supply is the base for the proper functioning of the LED lighting system. All LED strips and LED power supplies offered by Future House Store work at a constant voltage of 12V. To select the appropriate transformer you must first determine what is the power of light source (eg. LED strip) that you want to use.

PLEASE NOTE! Running an LED strip driver at 100% capacity could possibly reduce its life, compared to running at around 90%. Many transformer manufacturers actually recommend running at no more than 80% of the transformer's capacity. Others recommend a slightly higher level, so the transformer is run efficiently at close to its maximum wattage.
